National Forum: Engaging People in Transitions to Low Carbon Living

Friday, 24 November 2017
Event type:

This forum, to be presented by the CRCLCL Node of Excellence in low carbon cities and the Swinburne Centre for Urban Transitions, is targeted at senior government and industry representatives and will present the latest research and tools from the CRCLCL, partners and collaborators on how businesses, communities and individuals can be engaged and empowered to transition to low carbon behaviors and practices.

It will offer policy makers insights into household experiences, media/communications, suburban transport choices, education/training as well as industry strategies and business models for producing low carbon buildings and development/redevelopment of precincts that support low carbon living. The forum will focus on the non-technical barriers and opportunities for encouraging demand for low carbon outcomes in cities and offer recommended priorities for government, industry and researchers.
