This scholarship provides a unique opportunity to be part of a team at the forefront of advanced modelling of digital built environment at a precinct scale, with a particular focus on urban sustainability.
The CRC for Low Carbon Living (CRCLCL) offers a PhD scholarship embedded in the “PIM: An open digital information standard for the exchange of precinct information supporting carbon management throughout the urban development lifecycle” project.
The PhD position is available at the Faculty of Built Environment, UNSW Australia. The PhD research is designed to establish an advanced modelling method that links Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Model (BIM) and urban dynamic information together to support well-informed urban planning and decision-making to achieve low carbon outcomes. Applications are invited from candidates with a strong tertiary qualification and knowledge of sustainable urban development, GIS, building and urban information models, and sustainability performance assessment methods.
The annual funding for the scholarship is $30,000 for three years, tax-free for local applicants. The CRCLCL PhD scholarship does not cover university fees for non-Australian applicants.
